My class checklist

Here's what I recently stuck up on the bulletin board, right above my desk:

I call it my class checklist. My goal is to have most or all of those elements in every single class. I'm finding it very helpful in lesson planning these days. When combined with the learning objectives that I get off the syllabus, I find they make it much easier to write a focused, varied, and well-paced lesson. I'm enjoying my lessons more, and getting the impression that students are finding them more useful as well.
